Kano Ruling party anointed candidates suppose to be in jail - Hafizu

Former Deputy Governor of Kano State Professor Hafizu Abubakar, said the two Kano anointed candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), are suppose to be languishing in jail.

Professor Hafizu Abubakar made the statement during Malam Aminu Kano memorial lecture held at Center for Democratic Research and Training, Mambayya House Kano.

The former Deputy Governor to Ganduje who resigned in August 2018 said, in a civilised society the candidates are supposed to be in jailed.

Professor Hafizu Abubakar made a recap on how the two candidates were seen during the 2019 Gubernatorial election in Kano disrupting the collation process and snatching ballot boxes.

He noted that the world is a witness on how the acts perpetrated by the two candidates were witnessed all over the world and their reward now is getting Gubernatorial ticket of the APC.

Professor Hafizu Abubakar said the Kano APC anointed aspirants played a crucial role in ensuring inconclusive election.
