The State Deputy Governor Nasir Yusuf Gawuna has assured Agriculture students of the state Government readiness and commitment to assistant them in all of their future endeavors.
Nasir Yusuf Gawuna who is also the Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural Resource stated this while speaking shortly after receiving award from the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Students, held at the Bayero University Kano.
The Deputy Governor who was represented by the Special Assistant on Special Duties, Honourable Tahir Tudun Fulani also said the present Administration of Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has been off and doing in trying to provide all Agricultural support to the citizens of the State.
The Deputy Governor also emphasis the need for the students to continued explored government opportunities on Agriculture and other ways of tapping the available resources so as to become self-defense in the society after their Academic year.
Earlier, the President of the Association Comrade Ibrahim Yusuf Hussain said, they decided to stage the ceremony so as to testified to world the contributions of personalities honoured towards the upliftment of the Agriculture sector in the state and assistant to the Association at all time.
One of the recipients of the Award also Director Administration and General Services of the Ministry of Ministry of Agriculture, Hajiya Zahra Suleiman thanked the Association for honouring them and pledged the Ministry's support and contribution to all sagement of students Agricultural programs.
Those honoured included, the State Deputy Governor also double as the Commissioner of Agriculture and Natural resources, Dr. Nasir Yusuf Gawuna, Director Administration and general services, Hajiya Zahra Suleiman, Managing Director KNARDA Dr. Junaidu Yakubu Muhammad, Former MD KNARDA, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Daneji, Academicians from the Universities and Colleges.

Sallah: NSCDC deploys 3005 operatives in Kano to ensure safety

  Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have deployed 3005 tactical operation squad to places of Sallah festivities in Kano. This was contained in a statement issued to Daily News 24 by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi. The statement noted that an emergency response unit team will also be available in Kano metropolis during the period, to ensure hitch free Sallah festivities as well as protection of critical national assets and infrastructure.
