Kano Governor Appoints Habib Managing Director, Radio Kano

Kano State Governor, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the appointment of his spokesman, Hon. Hisham Habib, as the Managing Director of Kano State Radio Corporation, Radio Kano.

Habib until recently was Chairman of the Kano Online Journalists Association.

A statement issued by Hisham Habib, Spokesperson to the Governor, on Tuesday said the appointment is with immediate effect.

Hisham Habib,  a season Journalist who graduated from Science Secondary School Kafin Hausa in 1994,
holds a Degree in English from Bayero University Kano, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication from the same institution.

Prior to this appointment, Habib worked as a staff of the state’s Ministry of Information and held the position of Public Relations Officer at the Ministry of Justice.

He has also worked as a Reporter for renowned media outlets, including Daily Trust, Guardian and Daily Independent.

 Additionally, he served as the Chairman of Media Cave Limited, an independent media outlet and Publisher of the News Tunnel Online Newspaper.

Hisham Habib is happily married with children.

Umar Idris Shuaibu - Kano The Financial Services Regulation Coordinating Committee (FSRCC) has advised members of the public to refrain from dealing with illegal financial operators (IFOs). The committee said this in an advisory posted on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN’s) website on Monday. FRSCC is an inter-agency body set up to deal with matters of common interest and concern to the various regulatory and supervisory authorities in the financial services industry.
