Pen Resource Varsity Appoints Umaru Maigari, Pioneer BoT Chairman
The management of Pen Resource University, Gombe appointed Alhaji Umaru Maigari Gombe, FNIM as the pioneer Board of Trustees (BoT) chairman of the newly establishment.
The decision was announced by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of the University, Dr. Sani Jauro as contained in a press release by Abdulazeez Sani Labaran, and made available to journalist in Gombe, recently.
Alhaji Umaru Maigari will serve as the Chairman of the seven member Board, while Auwal Babayo Shehu and Dr. Muhammad Bose Ahmed MNI as Members.
Other Members of the board are Hon. Justice Aisha RD Muhammad (Rtd), Professor Sani Abba Aliyu (mni), Alhaji Aminu Malami Muhammad, and Alhaji Tanko Isiyaku Gwamna.
Dr. Sani Jauro assured the general public including the host community the council, carefully selected the BoT members for their track records and selfless service to humanity and that the University will tap from their wealth of experience in providing a qualitative education, that is second to none to its prospective students at all cost.
He further congratulates them and noted that the appointment is for the period of three years in the first instance and is with immediate effect.
The historical Nigeria recalled that Alhaji Umaru Maigari, a seasoned Banker and administrator is an alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, South West London College of Accounting, Bayero University Kano, and had pioneered many establishments both within public and private sectors of the economy.
He was a one-time pioneer chairman of Gombe State Bureau of Statistics, Inland Bank Limited and a host of others.
