Ganduje directs disciplinary action against KUST Wudil VC, Bursar

Kano State Executive Council has directed the Governing Council of Kano State University of Science and Technology (KUST) Wudil, to institute disciplinary procedures against the Vice Chancellor Professor Shehu Alhaji Musa, and former Bursar Hajiya Balaraba Tijjani Abdullahi in line with Public Service Rules and extant laws of the University.

Report says that the Council has also adopted the White Paper Report of the Visitation Panel to the State University of Science and Technology (KUST) Wudil, part of which included the constitution of an Inter-Agency investigative Panel to look into the issue of unremitted KUST staff  pensions contributions.

Kano State Commissioner of Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, stated this when briefing Newsmen on the outcome the Council weekly meeting held at the Council Chamber  Government House Kano.

He said the Council directed that a panel should be constituted to investigate the entire outstanding liabilities and audited accounts of the university to recover lost resources and sanction  erring officers.

You can recalled 'The Historica', reported that Academic Staff Union of Kano University of Science and Technology (KUST) Wudil, appealed to the Kano State Government to look into and investigate the financial scandal and misappropriation of University Management.

Reports says that the University records setback in the history of it existence, because of the mismanagement and misappropriation of resources.

Sallah: NSCDC deploys 3005 operatives in Kano to ensure safety

  Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have deployed 3005 tactical operation squad to places of Sallah festivities in Kano. This was contained in a statement issued to Daily News 24 by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi.
