Edil Fitr: SEDSAC urges muslims to prioritize peace during festive period


Sequel to the security alert raised by the Department for State Services (DSS) that some criminal elements might take the advantage of the festive period and lunch attacks on critical infrastructures and other public places during and after holidays and festive celebration. Meanwhile, the need for security agencies and stakeholders to take proactive measures in order to check the activities of the marauders.

Accordingly, SEDSAC wishes to adavocate for maximum support from the members of the public through sharing of useful information about any suspected persons or things to the security personnel. Similarly, there is a need for uptimum synergy among the security networks through reinforcement and sharing of intelligence reports.

In view of this, SEDSAC is calling for safer Eid-El-Fitr festivities against the backdrop of banditry, kidnapping, child missing and other domestic violence like mobile phone snatching, sara-suka and daba activities, political thuggery, drug abuse, rapping, reckless and underage driving and other unlawful and criminal acts.

Finally, SEDSAC wishes to identify and commend the efforts of the security agencies especially DSS that earlier made the public alert, the police, the military that are working day and night to actualize and sustain peace in Nigeria.
