2023: KASSOSA President Join Kano Governorship Race

The National President of Kano Science Schools Old Students Associations (KASSOSA), Pharmacist Ghali Sule join Kano State Governorship race under the auspices of People Redemption Party (PRP).

Speaking after a discussion with the Chairmanship of PRP in Kano, Ghali Sule said he decided to join the active politics to give his own quota toward the development of his dear state.

He said the decision is timely considering the need to revive any sector in the state.

"The existing gap in all our day to day activities must be look into, because Kano loose it's values in this days.

"One of the areas that we must give attention to when we get opportunity is Education, Health, Water supply and Agriculture.

"As a President of KASSOSA, we know that our Science Schools loose their values in which they were established for," Pharmacist Ghali Sule stated.

The Governorship aspirant then urged the general people of Kano to try people with good ambitions irrespective of their political platform in the election year (2023).

Speaking earlier, the Chairman PRP, Malam Abba Namatazu, appreciate the visit by the Governorship aspirant and urged him the needed support to arrive at the promise land.

Before his resignation recently, the Governorship aspirant Pharmacist Ghali Sule was the Director Pharmaceutical Hospital Management Board, and Director Pharmaceutical Kano State Ministry of Health.

During his service, Ghali contributed immensely in the committees of selling fake and adulterated medicine, consumable among others.

He is currently the President of KASSOSA National Body, an umbrella body that comprises old students associations from Science Colleges in Kano and Jigawa.

FULL LIST: APC inaugurates state chairpersons from 34 state

Umar Idris Shuaibu - Kano The National caretaker committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Thursday, inaugurated party chairpersons for 34 states and the federal capital territory (FCT). Reports say that the party members had converged on the headquarters of the APC in Abuja for the inauguration amid heavy security. Mai Mala Buni, Chairman of the caretaker/extraordinary convention planning committee (CECPC) — represented by John Akpanudoedehe, secretary of the committee — inaugurated the state chairpersons, excluding those of Kano and Sokoto. The development comes weeks before the party’s national convention scheduled for February 26. The party did not state exact reasons for excluding Sokoto and Kano. However, while there is an ongoing court case involving the APC in Kano, party crisis in Sokoto had resulted in parallel congresses.
