Actualising maize pyramid, as MAAN is celebrating 30th anniversary

National Association of all Maize farmers in Nigeria (MAAN) are currently celebrating 30 years of existence. 

This is coming as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has been supporting Maize cultivation under the Anchor Borrowers Program nationwide since 2015.

This year, years celebration which marked the 30th anniversary of the Association was scheduled with technical session, lecture and a book launch, holding in Kaduna.

Report says that President Muhammadu Buhari will unveil the Maize Pyramid on Thursday showcasing this season’s production, similar to the Rice pyramid done recently.

Farouk Kurawa, a representative from CropIt Nigeria Limited, one of the leading companies that supports farmers in the area of capacity building said, the anniversary is a giant step towards carrying all the maize farmers to the promise land.


"CropIt Nigeria Limited has been invited and we have taken a pavilion at the exhibition Centre to showcase the services we're offering, that's providing for both the association and financial institutions which basically monitoring and evaluation of crop performance in the field to ensure recovery of loan," Farouk Kurawa stated.
