The suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari is currently at the Federal high court Abuja, for his arraignment on 8 count charge of conspiracy, obstruction, and dealing in cocaine.

Verify license status of Companies before investing - CBN, SEC advise citizens

Umar Idris Shuaibu - Kano The Financial Services Regulation Coordinating Committee (FSRCC) has advised members of the public to refrain from dealing with illegal financial operators (IFOs). The committee said this in an advisory posted on the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN’s) website on Monday. FRSCC is an inter-agency body set up to deal with matters of common interest and concern to the various regulatory and supervisory authorities in the financial services industry. Member agencies include the CBN, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), federal ministry of finance, National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), National Pension Commission (PenCom), Nigeria Deposit Insurance Commission (NDIC), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Abuja Securities and Commodity Exchange Plc and the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). BREAKING: 180 million telephone lines linked with NIN

                             Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta Over 180 million telephone lines are now linked with the National Identity Numbers (NIN), the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta disclosed on Tuesday. He said this following the capturing of over 60 million Nigerians by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) in the National Identity Numbers (NIN) database. Danbatta also said from available statistics, the telecommunications industry has bounced back with broadband penetration peaking at 41 percent while active telephone subscribers have increased by over one million. He spoke while delivering his address during the Public Inquiry on three Regulatory Instruments on the Rule Making Process at the headquarters of the Commission in Abuja.
