11 die in road accident along Zaria-Kaduna

The Unit Commandant, Federal Road Safety Corp, Zaria Command, Abubakar Tatah Murabus, on Tuesday, confirmed that 11 people died in a road accident along Zaria-Kaduna road.

While confirming the number of deaths of the travellers, Abubakar noted that the dead persons have been moved to a morgue.

He said the accident was as a result of overspeeding.

Murabus added that the accident occurred when a Toyota Carina car, with registration number KTL 251 QG, lost control around Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, and somersaulted after hitting the median barrier.

Sallah: NSCDC deploys 3005 operatives in Kano to ensure safety

  Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have deployed 3005 tactical operation squad to places of Sallah festivities in Kano. This was contained in a statement issued to Daily News 24 by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi. The statement noted that an emergency response unit team will also be available in Kano metropolis during the period, to ensure hitch free Sallah festivities as well as protection of critical national assets and infrastructure.
