Kofa faces dismissal from FHA, over alleged misconduct


The Governing Board of Federal Housing Authority (FHA), has summoned its Executive Director, Research, Innovation, Development, Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, to appear before investigative panel instituted against him over alleged misconduct.

Abdulmumin is mandated to appear in person before the disciplinary panel on Friday 18th, February, 2022, to show course why he should not be dismissed from the housing agency.

In an invitation letter signed by Chairman of the Investigative/disciplinary panel, Barr. Zubairu Salihu, dated February, 15, 2022, disclosed that the board was instituting the panel after the former house of representatives member ( Kiru/Bebeji) failed to respond to query issued by the managing director and chief executive officer of FHA.

It was gathered that ,Abdulmumin has been absent from office for 92 days in clear contravention of the rules guiding public offices.

You can recalled that the Former House of Reps Member from Kano, Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, was recently appointed the Director General of the Bola Tinubu, Social Mobilization Group, working towards actualization of Bola Tinubu’s aspiration of becoming Nigeria’s president in 2023.

The invitation issued to Abdulmumin is in accordance with the provisions of paragraph 8,2,0 of the Federal Housing Authority Revised Condition of Service, 2008, and section 030307 of the public service rules (2009), the letter read.

The invitation letter, sighted by Solacebase Newspaper read, ” Please recall the query issued to you by the managing director/CEO over allegations off serious misconduct in the course of your official duties and deliberate refusal to respond to the query as required by the rules of public services as applicable to public officers.

”In furtherance of the above, the Governing Board at its 3rd regular meeting held on Tuesday 2nd February 2022, had set up an investigative/ disciplinary panel to investigate all the alleged serious misconduct leveled against you.

”On the specified date to appear ‘Friday 18th, February, 2022’, the question of the disciplinary action against you including termination or dismissal (if necessary) will be brought forward and you are required to appear before the panel personally to defend yourself.

"You are also entitled to call witnesses, if need be. Please further note that your failure to appear will not invalidate the proceeding of the panel”, the letter reads.
