Kano APC faction: G7 insist on just and fair treatment

The Senator Ibrahim Shekarau led faction of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has restated its commitment to reconciliation move of the party insisting that the group would only accept what is just, fair and equitable in the interest of ensuring inclusiveness and strengthening party cohesion.

The APC headquarters led by the acting Caretaker Chairman, Mai Mala Buni on Saturday had another series of meeting with the warring faction led by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje on one side and Senator Ibrahim Shekarau on the other side where it said a sharing formular and template would be formulated and a committee would be established  to implement the template in Kano on Monday (Today).

Also, on  Sunday the leader of the G7 as the other faction is called, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau released an audio recording emphasizing the importance of reconciliation citing about three verses from the Holy Quran.

However, in a statement jointly signed on Sunday by the Seven leading members of the G7, titled ‘’Joint Stakeholders Forum of All Progressive Congress) , Kano State noted that ‘’We wish to unequivocally state that, up to this moment of issuing this statement, there is no final decision taken and/or conclusion reached in the reconciliation process going on.’’

Reports say that the members that signed the statement are Senator lbrahim Shakarau,(Kano Central), Senator Barau l. Jibrin,(Kano North), Tijjani Abdulkadir Jobe,(Dawakin Tofa/Tofa/Rimigado Fed. Constituency), Nasiru Abduwa Gabasawa,(Gezawa/Gabasawa Fed Constituency) Barr. Haruna l. Dederi,(Karaye/Rogo Fed Constituency), Sha’aban Sharada,(Kano Municipal Fed. Constituency) and Alh. Shehu Dalhatu (Chairman, Buhari Support Group.)

It noted that ,’’Everyone is aware of the efforts initiated by the National Leadership of our party aimed at finding possible ways and means of amicably resolving the crises bedeviling the Kano State chapter of our great party We wish to commend this great initiative of the National Leadership.

The statement said, ‘’This is in spite of the fact that we are beneficiaries in the two judgements in Suits Nos. FCT/HCICV/2030/2021 of 30/11/2021, and FCTHCICV/2532/2021 of 17/12/2021 respectively relating to the party leadership in our state.’’
 
‘’We wish to call on every party member in Kano State to remain calm and loyal to the party until the reconciliation process comes to an end,’’ the statement said.

The group in the statement added that ‘’We hereby reaffirm our total support and commitment to the promotion and development of the ideals of our great party. the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State and Nigeria in general.
