Ex- staffers of Vision FM Kano demand outstanding salaries, threaten court action
About 12 former staff of Vision Media Services Limited (Vision Radio Kano) have written a demand notice to the organisation requesting for over N8, 502, 420, being outstanding salaries and operational claims.
In a letter written by their Lawyer, B.A Mu’az of H.H. Ma’aruf & Co, to the company Chairman, the staff threatened that if their demand is not met within seven days upon receipt of the letter, legal action would be taken against the organisation.
'The Historica Nigeria' earlier reported the mass resignation of 13 management staff of Vision Radio FM in Kano, in May, 2021.
In a notice of disengagement signed by the 13 management staff led by the Station General Manager, Adamu Ladan, addressed to the Group General Manager of the station in Abuja, the staff said their appointment has been on probation since engaged in January 2019 though it was supposed to last for six months as indicated in their appointment letters.
The staff said despite several reminders that their appointment should be normalized, nothing was done.
According to the letter, the affected management staff appealed to the station to pay their outstanding salaries and claims before their exit from the organization.
The lawyer’s letter received on November 8th, 2021 by the organisation and sighted by an Online Newspaper Solacebase, listed the affected staff referred to in the letter as their clients to include, Adamu Salihu Ladan, Muhammad Garba, Ahmad Rufai Bello, Captain Abdullahi Adamu Bakoji (rtd), Sadik Muhammad Kiyawa, Aliyu Abubakar Getso and Mustapha Khamis.
Other are , Ashiru Shehu Kachako, Isyaku Turaki Maje, Lami Sumayya Murtala, Samira Adam and Lami Shema.
Copies of the letter was served the Inspector General of Police, AIG Zonal 1, Kano, Commissioner of Police Kano, Director DSS and Zonal Director of EFCC.
