Consul General of Saudi Arabia visits KACCIMA, promised bilateral relation

The Consul General of Saudi Arabia in Kano Nigeria, Mr. Khalil Admawiy urged the businessmen to use recommendations of  Kano Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KACCIMA) before applying for Visa in the Consulate Office.

Mr. Admawiy made the assertion when he paid a courtesy visited KACCIMA’s office in Kano 

Admawiy said Saudi Arabia Kingdom recognized only a formal and genuine corporate business.

The Consul described Kano Chamber of Commerce as a tool to identify the genuine business people from Kano for the issuance of Visa documents to Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Khalil added that the Consulate General Office don’t reject visa application any how, stressing that  the Applicant has to strictly follow all the guidelines before obtaining Visa documents for traveling to Saudi Arabia.

"There is potentialities and business opportunities between Kano citizens and that of Saudi Arabia, but we understand that some of the Businessmen are not organized, and not formal”.

"We don’t want to deal with any individual person alone but have recommendations from corporate body like KACCIMA," Mr. Admawiy stated.

Speaking earlier, the President of KACCIMA, Alhaji Dalhatu Abubakar said the Chamber is one of the oldest in Nigeria, noting that it was established in 1922.

"It's now that we're making preparations to celebrate our existence, which currently we have over 4000 membership strength.”

KACCIMA President however said the relationship between Kano Chamber of Commerce and Saudi Arabia is as old as the Chamber itself.

Dalhatu Abubakar then reminded the Consul General a letter from the Chamber which was dated 23rd September, 2021 seeking the Consulate General to facilitate a special trip by a delegation from Kano Chamber of Commerce to the Holy Kingdom.

"A Delegation trip to Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Makkatul Mukarramma. This will add more advantage to the existing bilateral relationship between Kano and Saudi Arabia", Abubakar.

He maintained that the visit will enable Business discussions and signing of memorandum of understanding between investors from both sides.

Similarly the KACCIMA President promised to invite His Excellency, the Consul General of Saudi Arabia in Kano to attend the opening ceremony of the Kano International Trade Fair, 42 edition, Schedule to be conducted on Sartuday, 27th, November, 2021.

FULL LIST: APC inaugurates state chairpersons from 34 state

Umar Idris Shuaibu - Kano The National caretaker committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Thursday, inaugurated party chairpersons for 34 states and the federal capital territory (FCT). Reports say that the party members had converged on the headquarters of the APC in Abuja for the inauguration amid heavy security. Mai Mala Buni, Chairman of the caretaker/extraordinary convention planning committee (CECPC) — represented by John Akpanudoedehe, secretary of the committee — inaugurated the state chairpersons, excluding those of Kano and Sokoto. The development comes weeks before the party’s national convention scheduled for February 26. The party did not state exact reasons for excluding Sokoto and Kano. However, while there is an ongoing court case involving the APC in Kano, party crisis in Sokoto had resulted in parallel congresses.
