Inuwa Waya bows out from NNPC service

Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Group General Manager Shipping Affairs Malam Inuwa Ibrahim, announces his voluntary retirement from NNPC, after spending almost three decades at the corporation. 

Malam Inuwa Waya announced his decision to step aside from NNPC during a birthday party, organized to him by staff of his office. 

Malam Inuwa Waya said "This afternoon my staff in the office to me by surprise when they organized birthday party for me. I equally took them by surprise, to tell them that earlier in the day I submitted a letter to NNPC conveying my decision to voluntarily retire from the services of the corporation. 

He further noted that "I told them that I decided to retire on my own because of my conviction to allow the younger generation to have the same opportunity."

Inuwa Waya concluded that " I will now focus on farming and private legal practice."
