Umar Idris Shuaibu - Kano The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has approved the appointment of Dr. Maimuna Abdullahi Habib as Chief Veterinary Officer of Nigeria. This was contained in a letter signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Olaniran Alabi. According to the letter the appointment takes effect from March, 17th, 2022. The supervisor of the Project from Economic Security Unit of ICRC in Kano, Musa Peter said the four days training was geared towards training the beneficiaries with different business ideas that will help them to formulate the viable business plan and develop it into reality, and also managing the business opportunity for them to be self reliant. Sallah: NSCDC deploys 3005 operatives in Kano to ensure safety

  Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps have deployed 3005 tactical operation squad to places of Sallah festivities in Kano. This was contained in a statement issued to Daily News 24 by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi. The statement noted that an emergency response unit team will also be available in Kano metropolis during the period, to ensure hitch free Sallah festivities as well as protection of critical national assets and infrastructure. The Commandant of the Corps in Kano, Idris Adamu Zakari, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Kano Command assured general public of their safety and protection of infrastructure, while cautioning them to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement to security agents.
