Umar Idris Shuaibu - Kano

The wife of Kano state Governor, Professor Hafsat Umar Ganduje, said that the state needs a versatile politician like Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Murtala Sule Garo to take over from her husband, Abdullahi Ganduje, in the election year 2023.

In a trending video clip on social media platforms on Saturday, Hafsat Ganduje popularly called Gwaggo, stated this at a function in Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State on Saturday, saying Murtala Garo is the ideal person.

The Historica reports that  APC supporters were seen jubilating while Kano State first Lady made the statement.

Hafsat Ganduje said that while on a short trip, she observed that the commissioner had sleepless nights working for his Ministry.

The first lady noted that what she had seen in Murtala Garo during the trip had made her satisfied that he is the ideal successor of her husband come 2023.

‘’Local Government Chairmen should listen to what Gwaggo ( Hafsat Abdullahi Umar Ganduje)  is saying that searching for people like Commander Murtala Sule Garo as a politician to take over from Governor Ganduje.”

“What the Governor wants is educated, agile, and hardworking young men to steer the affair of our Local Governments. He also wants hardworking youths to succeed him.

“I remember, while on a short trip. At all the time… He is here listening to me, in every battle, there has to be a Commander,  had spent sleepless nights. I swear to God, he didn’t sleep because he was working hard to discharge his responsibility as a commissioner. I hope, you chairmen are listening to me? You are hearing this from Gwaggo’s mouth.
However, many people in the state are of the opinion that the governor’s wife has a lot of influence on Ganduje’s administration especially political activities in the state.
