Eid Kabir: NSCDC Kano Command deploys 1750 ahead of Sallah
Commandant of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps Kano State Abu Abdu Tambuwal has approved the deployment of 1,750 personnel to provide security cover at various Eid grounds, palaces, monuments, event and recreational centres across the State.
This was contained in a statement signed by Command Public Relations Officer DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi and send to THE HISTORICA NIGERIA' Online Blog on Saturday.
The statement added that NSCDC has been expanding its intelligence network with a view to nip in the bud any security threat in the State during the festive period.
Adding that the Corps is on alert and poised to deal decisively with miscreants or thugs who might unfortunately wish to foment trouble and disrupt public peace in whatever guise before, during and after Sallah celebrations.
The Command urged the general public to be calm as all efforts are being made by the Corps and indeed all the security agencies for a hitch free 2021 Eid-el Kabir celebrations in Kano.
"We wish the good people of Kano Happy Sallah in advance", the statement added.
