Eid-el-Kabir: DG HMB Advocates For Brotherhood, Togetherness
Muslim faithfuls have been enjoined to portray sense of brotherhood and togetherness by giving out some portion of their sacrificial meat to needy among them so that they too will celebrate this year's Eid-el-Kabir merrily.
The Director General Hospitals Management Board, Dr. Nasiru Alhassan Kabo made the call in his Sallah message to Muslims to mark the Sallah celebration currently taking place all over the world.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Board Ibrahim Abdullahi, and sent to 'THE NIGERIA NIGERIA'.
Dr. Kabo says this is a sacred period where Muslims are required to put a smile unto the faces of their brothers as instructed by Islam.
The Director General goes further to say that people should not be forgetful to the plight of others in view of the fact that the country is in trying times as enormous challenges bedevil the nation such as insecurity, inflation and other social vices that put a serious threat to its peaceful coexistence.
He avers, "Let me, on behalf of my family, management and the entire staff of the Hospital Management Board, wish to reverentially extend my best wishes to the health Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR (Khadimul Islam) and his family.
"I am also extending such to members of the State Executive Council, our five Emirs, leadership of our great party and people of the state especially the Kabo inhabitants on this serene Eid-el-Kabir merriments.
"May Allah, the Almighty, accept all the sacrificial obligations we offer as an act of ibada."
Dr. Kabo calls on people to ensure their sacrificial meat is in good condition of health and store in safer places so that it is protected against flies and other insects that might contaminate it and cause havoc to their health as a result.
The Director General adds that the animals' feaces should be disposed off as soon as possible to the isolated areas designated by government and the place be washed thoroughly with water and detergent so that the stained-blood and odor get nowhere to stay.
He advises that, "Meat should properly be fried, kept in clean dishes and places where fly and its likes could not pollute it. People should avoid taking excessive and hot meat as it may harm the stomach with especially the diarrhea. Any sign of illness should quickly reported to the nearest health facility."
Dr. Kabo also advises people in the state to keep on observing the Covid-19 protocols as especially it is a period of mingling with people though, _Alhamdu_ _lillah_, daily tally shows the drastic reduction of the pandemic, yet people need to be reminded in order to avoid its resurgence.
He commends Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his proactive approach to deal with the pandemic by way of giving it a deadly blow right on arrival in 2020, stressing that, "Our leader is a Governor of intellect, commitment and focus who poises to depend his people against all odds."
