YPP Vice President candidate in 2019 criticizes Buhari over increasing insecurity
The Young Progressive Party (YPP) has criticizes President Muhammadu Buhari over the state of insecurity in the country, especially in the north.Speaking to journalists over the weekend in Abuja and reacting to the state of insecurity in the country, the National Vice Chairman of YPP and Former Vice Presidential Candidate in the 2019 general elections, Hajiya Umma Abdullahi Getso, asked President Buhari to tackle the nation’s security challenges as a matter of urgency, saying nobody is safe in the country.The Historica recalled that insurgency is ravaging the northeast, banditry and kidnapping in almost every part of the country and secessionist calls from South West and South East are threatening the corporate entity of the country.She added that Nigeria is in distress, security and economic wise, Hajiya Umma insisted that Buhari has failed the country in protecting the lives and properties of the people.‘’The economy is in bad shape, security is nothing to write home about, virtually every facet of the Nigerian life has collapsed, we don’t have any other country than Nigeria, there is need to quickly save the nation from the hands of bandits, and terrorists,’’ She added.Umma Getso, who is a Kano State indigene was the running mate of Prof. Kingsley Moghalu, Former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria and Presidential Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in 2019.
