Killer Juice: 10 demised, 400 hospitalized in Kano

Kano Ministry of Health has said that no less than ten persons have died and 400 others hospitalized after consuming expired drinks in the state.
The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, made the assertion on Thursday in a one minute, twenty-two seconds video message cautioning the public to be careful of such water-soluble flavoured drinks, considering the increase in need of water intake during the hot weather.
The State Commissioner for Health said that over 50 persons are currently undergoing kidney-related treatment in government hospitals with issues related to the consumption of the drinks.
The Historica Nigeria gathered that National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) had earlier announced that the chemical added to the killer flavoured drink that led to the death of three persons in Kano State contained ‘Hyroxylamine element,’ used for terrorism.
