Kano Health Management Board sacks staff over rape, abortion

The Kano Primary Health Care Management Board has said that it relieved off appointments of no fewer than 4 staff for gross misconduct bothering on rape and illegal abortion. Maikudi Muhammad Marafa, the Board’s Public Relations Officer in a statement that was made available to newsmen in Kano said the affected staff was found guilty by a disciplinary panel. Muhammad Marafa identified the staff via their civil service number to include KNLG 32323 from Dala who was found guilty of committing rape in one of its facilities at Kurnar Asabe Primary Health Care. KASSOSA National body to hold its annual Ramadan Iftar in Kano

Umar Idris Shuaibu Kano State Old Science Students Association said it will organize the annual Iftar eating Programme for its members on Saturday May 1st 2021, at The Afficent Event Center Nassarawa GRA. This was contained in a statement signed by the Assistant Public Relations Officer of the Association Malam Halliru Sani yesternight. Malam Halliru Sani in his statement added that the essence of the Iftar eating Programme is unite all members of KASSOSA across Kano and Jigawa State, and the country at large. Why PDP suspends Sen. Kwankwaso

Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended Former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso over the crisis that characterized the Northwest Zonal Congress in Kaduna last week. The suspension was contained in a query letter issued to the Former Kano Central Senator by a faction of the party signed by its Secretary, H. A. Tsanyawa. Killer Juice: 10 demised, 400 hospitalized in Kano

Kano Ministry of Health has said that no less than ten persons have died and 400 others hospitalized after consuming expired drinks in the state. The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa, made the assertion on Thursday in a one minute, twenty-two seconds video message cautioning the public to be careful of such water-soluble flavoured drinks, considering the increase in need of water intake during the hot weather. The State Commissioner for Health said that over 50 persons are currently undergoing kidney-related treatment in government hospitals with issues related to the consumption of the drinks. The Historica Nigeria gathered that National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) had earlier announced that the chemical added to the killer flavoured drink that led to the death of three persons in Kano State contained ‘Hyroxylamine element,’ used for terrorism.

AIG Hafiz, others get new appointment

The Acting Inspector General of Police Usman Baba, has approved the re-appointment of Mr. Frank Mba as the Force Public Relations Officer.  The IG also approved the posting of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Hafiz Inuwa, as the Force Secretary and Mr. Idowu Owohunwa, as the Principal Staff Officer (PSO). Mba announced this in a statement in Abuja on Friday. According to him,  the new Force Secretary takes over from Mr Mustapha Dandaura, an AIG who had been redeployed to Zone-7 Police Headquarters, Abuja. “Inuwa holds a Masters Degree in Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) Prior to his appointment, he was the AIG in charge of Zone-13, Anambra. “He previously served as the Commissioner of Police in charge of Delta and Cross River, among other strategic positions. “He is a member of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPPS) Kuru, Jos,” Mba said. Kano State Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has charged the All Farmers Association Of Nigeria (AFAN) to redouble their efforts towards boosting economic development for national progress. Represented by his Deputy Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, the Governor made the statement on Friday while declaring open the General Assembly Of Farmers organised by the All Farmers Association Of Nigeria at the Government House,Kano. He called on the farmers to ensure that voice of AFAN is all over the country particularly through their programmes aimed at improving agricultural activities.
